The University of Ottawa, Varsity Athletics is seeking highly motivated and enthousiastic individuals who will be responsible to produce the webcasting of all Gee-Gees home Football, Soccer, Rugby, Hockey, Volleyball and Basketball games.

The Webcast Director is responsible to produce a quality webcast with instant replays, multiple cameras, graphics, and in-game segments. This role will harmonize these elements into a smooth broadcast by being proficient with our webcasting equipment and operating it live during games. Please note that most events take place on the weekends, and as such applicants must be available to work most weekends.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Produce a professional webcast for U Sports fans around the world
  • Coordinate with the on-air talent and video staff
  • Update scripts and graphic packages based on storyline
  • Collaborate with the Sport information Team


  • Experience with Wirecast and other broadcast systems is a key asset
  • Comfortable with computer programs
  • Knowledge of sports
  • Willingness to learn
  • Ability to exercise initiative, and good judgment
  • Ability to collaborate with other members of a team
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of OUA and RSEQ athletics, specifically Gee Gees varsity sports, considered an asset
  • Bilingualism is an asset
