Intramurals are returning in the Fall of 2019 for another semester. Taking part in intramurals is a great opportunity to make new friends and to bond with your fellow Gee-Gees while enjoying the sports you love or learning a new one.

Keep in mind, there’s more to registration than just choosing a sport. We offer different levels of play, individual vs. team registrations, and more. We’re here to help you understand the different terms you need to know when registering.

  1. Rec

The recreational level of play for all leagues. Rec leagues are for those who are looking for a more laidback experience. You may be new to the sport or are just looking to play for fun.

  1. Comp

A level of play above Rec, Comp leagues are for those who are looking to play more competitively. You may have played the sport on your high school team or for your community team.

  1. Individual

Don’t have a complete team to register with? Individual registration is the option to choose. You can also request specific teammates as we find you a team and would like to sign up alongside a few friends. Individual registration is a great choice for first-years or first-timers, as it is a great way to meet new people.

  1. Team

Team registration is for groups of friends who have a large enough group to form an entire team. Team registration based leagues typically involves a higher level of play than individual registration due to the power of an already existing friendship between all players. Registration tip: You can prepare your teams on GeeGee Reg before intramural registrations begin.

  1. Mixed

All individuals are welcome to play in a mixed league! Keep in mind, rules are in place regarding the minimum number of self-identifying men and women on each team. Be sure to keep this in mind if you are going through team registration for mixed leagues.

  1. Open

This category of competition is open to all individuals regardless of gender and was formerly the men’s category.

  1. Women/Trans/Non-binary

This league is open to individuals who self-identify as women, transgender or gender non-conforming.

Be sure to hurry, as spaces are limited! Head over to our intramurals page for to get started.
